If you prioritize performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, the Acer Swift X with its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card and more robust processor is advisable, though it comes at a higher price. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3, on the other hand, is more budget-friendly and suitable for general use like web browsing, word processing, and video streaming with battery life on par with the Acer. The Acer also offers a more vibrant display and is lighter, enhancing portability, whereas the Lenovo features a larger screen which may enhance your viewing experience but it’s slightly heavier. Both laptops offer a similar thickness, with the Acer having better build quality and heat management. If gaming or intensive graphics tasks are not a priority, the Lenovo could save you money while meeting everyday needs. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift X (2022) and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 are both good for general use, though the Acer Swift X (2022) is somewhat better.
The Acer Swift X offers a stronger CPU, more RAM, and a higher-quality screen which translates into better performance for a wide range of tasks and a sharper, more vibrant display for media consumption. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3, while more affordable, has a weaker processor, less RAM, and a lower screen quality which may limit its multitasking capabilities and overall sharpness of the display, though it does offer slightly better portability due to its lighter weight.

The Acer Swift X (2022) is only fair for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is poor.
The Acer Swift X is fair for gaming and 3D applications because it has an Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card and a 60Hz screen refresh rate, which is decent for gaming but not top-tier for high-frame-rate play. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 also performs fairly due to its integrated AMD Ryzen Vega 6 graphics and the same 60Hz refresh rate, but it usually provides less graphical power compared to dedicated GPUs like the RTX 3050.

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Swift X boasts a higher-resolution display and better color accuracy, which are essential for detailed engineering and design work, but its lack of a high-refresh-rate screen detracts from its gaming and 3D performance. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 offers a satisfactory display for everyday tasks and decent color reproduction for engineering and design at a fair price, yet falls short for gaming due to its limited refresh rate. Neither laptops excel in gaming and 3D environments, primarily because their screens do not refresh as quickly as dedicated gaming laptops, which can diminish the smoothness and responsiveness of fast-paced visuals.

"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
