The HP Omen 16 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Swift X (2022) is only fair.
The HP Omen 16 is better suited for gaming and 3D tasks due to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card and a much higher screen refresh rate, which allows for smoother visuals in fast-paced games compared to the Acer Swift X's less powerful Nvidia RTX 3050 and a standard refresh rate. Moreover, the HP Omen has a stronger CPU which aids in handling complex tasks, though both models have comparable screen quality, with the Acer offering a higher resolution while the HP offers a larger screen size and slightly better screen color accuracy.

The HP Omen 16 has a better screen than the Acer Swift X for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, both the Acer Swift X and HP Omen 16 offer panels with sufficient resolution and brightness, making text clear and colors vivid for everyday tasks like browsing and streaming. In engineering and design, these laptops have good color gamut coverage, ensuring accurate color reproduction for detailed work such as photo editing and CAD software. How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the HP Omen 16 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."
