The decision between the Acer Swift X (2022) and the HP 17" Laptop will largely come down to your needs and preferences. If performance, particularly for 3D and machine learning tasks, as well as gaming, is a priority, the Acer Swift X with its Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and Intel i7 processor is a better fit. It also offers better portability with less weight and a more compact size, which could be beneficial if you move around often. However, the tradeoff is a higher price and a smaller 14-inch screen compared to the HP 17" Laptop's 17.3-inch display. The HP, on the other hand, will save you money, and its larger screen might be more suited for tasks like multitasking and presentations, but you'll sacrifice some performance and portability given its lower power processor, less capable integrated graphics, and heavier weight. Consider how much you value performance, screen size, portability, and price to make your choice. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the HP 17" Laptop for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Swift X boasts a high-resolution display with superior brightness and panel quality, ensuring vibrant and clear images that are crucial for general use and engineering tasks where color accuracy and detail are key. However, for gaming and 3D applications, its screen falls short due to a lower refresh rate, which can affect the smoothness of motion. Conversely, the HP 17" laptop, with a fair screen across the board, delivers adequate visual performance for everyday and professional work but doesn't stand out in any particular area and similarly lacks the high refresh rate needed for optimal gaming and 3D experiences.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the HP 17" Laptop compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"As far as starter laptops go, the HP Laptop 17 is a sound investment. Sure, it might not be the lightest of options, but what you get for the price is a well-rounded machine that fits multiple niches. Whether it be office duties that require you to multi-task between multiple programs, or study tasks in which you’ll spend hours browsing online, this laptop does it all. Plus, when it's time to unwind, you can watch your favorite shows or movies on a super-wide display. What's best of all is that you can do all this for about half a day on a single charge."
