The Acer Swift X (2022) is a more expensive option but offers stronger performance with a better processor and dedicated graphics, suitable for intensive tasks such as engineering, 3D rendering, or gaming. It also boasts a higher-resolution display, a longer battery life, and is lighter, enhancing its portability. In contrast, the Gateway 15.6" is less expensive and also has a decent processor for general use, but it lacks a dedicated graphics card, making it less suitable for graphics-intensive tasks. It's heavier and probably has a shorter battery life, given the unspecified capacity. The Acer is a better choice for demanding applications, while the Gateway is a more budget-friendly option for everyday tasks. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift X (2022) and Gateway 15.6" are both only fair for gaming and AI, though the Acer Swift X (2022) is somewhat better.
The Acer Swift X (2022) is fair for gaming and 3D because it has a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, which is reasonably capable for these tasks; however, its 60Hz screen refresh rate limits smoothness in fast-paced games. In comparison, the Gateway 15.6" also achieves a fair performance due to its integrated Iris Xe graphics, which can handle less demanding gaming and 3D applications, but like the Acer, it is held back by a 60Hz screen refresh rate.

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the Gateway 15.6" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Swift X features a display with higher resolution and brightness, which delivers sharper images and better visibility in bright conditions, appealing for everyday tasks such as browsing and video streaming. For engineering and design, this laptop's superior color accuracy and broader color ranges ensure more precise color representation, crucial for professional photo editing and CAD work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, its lower refresh rate means less fluid motion and slower response times, which could hinder the gaming experience.

"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
