The Acer Swift X (2022) generally costs more but offers better graphics performance with its dedicated Nvidia GPU, which is essential for 3D work, gaming, or machine learning. It’s also lighter and has a higher portability score, making it easier to carry around. Its build quality and performance for engineering tasks are decent, and it has good heat management. Conversely, the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 comes at a lower price with double the storage and a slightly larger screen. While its integrated AMD graphics are less powerful for intensive tasks, it's suitable for general use and has a fanless operation, making it completely silent. Consider the Acer if you need better graphics and portability, or the Dell for quieter operation, more storage, and to save some money. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Acer Swift X stands out with its vibrant colors and sharper resolution, which make viewing text and images clearer and more comfortable, while the Dell Inspiron is just adequate, offering a less crisp experience. When it comes to engineering and design, the Acer's wide color gamuts ensure accurate color representation essential for detailed work, which may not be as precise on the Dell due to its limited color range. However, for 3D tasks and gaming, neither is ideal as their refresh rates are lower than what is required for smooth motion; though, due to their resolution and panel type, the Acer still performs slightly better in these scenarios.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
