If you're looking for a high-performing laptop and can afford to spend more, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 offers a larger screen, better graphics, more storage, and a more powerful processor, making it well-suited for demanding tasks like video editing or gaming. However, it's heavier and less portable than the Acer Swift X (2022), which is more affordable and offers a higher resolution display with a more portable design, making it a good choice for everyday use and productivity on the go. The choice depends on whether you value portability and price over screen size and raw performance. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 has a better screen than the Acer Swift X for general use, and software development.
If you prioritize a sharp, bright display for daily tasks like browsing and watching videos, both the Acer Swift X and ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 offer high-resolution panels with good brightness, serving well for general use. For engineering and design work where accurate colors are critical, these laptops provide wide color gamuts, ensuring that the hues you see on-screen are vibrant and precise. However, for gaming and 3D applications that demand smoother motion and quick screen updates, the lower refresh rates on these laptops may result in less fluid visuals compared to models specifically tailored for such purposes.

The Acer Swift X (2022) is appreciated for its balance of performance with an Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU, a high-resolution screen, and better portability due to its lighter weight and smaller screen, all combined with a strong battery life. Conversely, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 provides more power with an AMD Ryzen CPU, twice the storage and RAM, a larger and brighter screen, at the cost of heavier weight, slightly less battery life, and a bulkier form factor, making it less portable but better for intensive tasks.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
