The Acer Swift X (2022) is pricier but offers strong performance good for intensive engineering tasks due to its dedicated Nvidia graphics card and Intel processor, suitable for 3D applications and potentially gaming. Its battery life is better and it's more portable with a smaller screen size and lighter weight. The ASUS Vivobook 16 is more affordable with a bigger screen and more storage space, making it good for general use and productivity, but it's heavier and has a less powerful integrated AMD graphics, which is less suitable for demanding engineering software, 3D rendering, or gaming. Both have similar RAM, good quality keyboards, and are not designed with a gaming laptop appearance. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Acer Swift X stands out with its brighter display and sharper resolution, making text crisper and details clearer, while the ASUS Vivobook 16's less vivid screen may appear dimmer and less sharp, affecting the overall viewing experience. When considering engineering and design, the Acer Swift X's ability to display a wider range of colors makes it suitable for tasks requiring color accuracy, in contrast to the ASUS Vivobook 16 which may not represent colors as accurately. For 3D and gaming, the lower refresh rate of both laptops means they won't be as smooth in fast-paced scenes compared to laptops with higher refresh rates, although the resolution and panel type of the Acer Swift X will still offer a better visual experience in this context than the ASUS Vivobook 16.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the ASUS Vivobook 16 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
