The Acer Swift X (2023) generally costs more, but it offers better performance for 3D tasks and engineering work, thanks to its Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card. It may not be as portable as the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s, which is lighter and has a slightly higher portability score. The ThinkBook 13s also features a touchscreen and a smaller screen size, which could make a difference if you're looking for a more compact device. Both have similar battery life for typical usage, but for intensive tasks, the Swift X's superior GPU may drain its battery faster. If you need better performance for graphics-intensive activities, go for the Acer Swift X. On the other hand, if portability, touchscreen functionality, and cost are your main concerns, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s would be a better choice. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Swift X has a vibrant display with high resolution and brightness, making it excellent for everyday tasks and viewing fine details needed for engineering and design work, but its refresh rate is low, affecting gaming and 3D performance where smoother motion is crucial. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s also offers a crisp, bright display suitable for general and professional tasks, including color-sensitive engineering and design applications due to its respectable color coverage. However, like the Acer, it falls short for gaming and 3D modeling due to a less than ideal refresh rate that can't deliver the fluid visuals required for high-speed gaming or seamless 3D rendering.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Acer Swift X (2023) to be very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is good.
The Acer Swift X (2023) is considered good for engineering and design primarily due to its capable Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, which supports hardware ray tracing and DLSS, combined with a powerful Intel i5-13500H CPU and high-quality IPS screen, making it suitable for demanding graphics and engineering tasks. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s, while also suitable for engineering and design due to its high-resolution IPS display and capable Intel Iris Xe graphics, trades off some graphical performance for better portability, with a slightly lighter build and longer battery life, but lacks the dedicated GPU found in the Acer model.

How the Acer Swift X (2023) and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
