The Acer Swift X (2023) tends to be a more budget-friendly option and comes with components that provide strong performance for general use and moderate gaming, thanks to its Intel i5 CPU and Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU. It's also lighter, making it more portable, but with a smaller screen size compared to the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16. The Lenovo, however, offers superior screen real estate with a higher resolution OLED display, which might be preferred for design work or entertainment that benefits from better color and contrast. The ThinkPad also comes with a more robust CPU and GPU combination suited for engineering tasks and heavy multitasking, with double the memory and storage capacity of the Acer. However, it's heavier, which may affect portability. Therefore, if your priority is high-performance computing and a premium display, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 is the better choice, while the Acer Swift X (2023) is ideal for those looking for a more affordable, portable laptop for general and moderate gaming use. How the Acer Swift X (2023) and the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"Lenovo’s ThinkPad Z16 tries has some success in its effort to tweak the ThinkPad formula. The laptop is attractive, yet still tame, and material quality is on par with the best Windows competition. I also like the smooth, responsive haptic touchpad and the wide range of modern connectivity. Yet the Z16 doesn’t fix ThinkPad’s typical weakness: value. Starting around $1,550, and more typically near $1,700, the Z16 finds itself facing alternatives that have better performance or an improved display for the same price, or less."
