The Acer Swift X (2023) offers better performance for intensive tasks like 3D rendering or engineering due to its superior processor and dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card, paired with more RAM and storage, but it is also more expensive and slightly heavier than the HP 14" Laptop. In contrast, the HP 14" Laptop is more budget-friendly, lighter, and offers respectable performance for everyday use, though it has less storage and a less powerful integrated GPU, which might not be suitable for demanding software applications. The Acer Swift X (2023) is only fair for gaming and AI, while the HP 14" Laptop is poor.
The Acer Swift X (2023) is more suited for gaming and 3D tasks, boasting a Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and a 120Hz screen refresh rate, which lead to smoother visuals and better rendering of graphics; on the other hand, the HP 14" Laptop uses an integrated AMD Vega 7 GPU and has a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate, offering less graphical power and slower screen updates. Additionally, the Acer has a higher screen pixel density and better color space coverage which contributes to overall better screen quality, vital for gaming and detailed 3D work, whereas the HP's screen is less sharp and has lower color accuracy, making it less ideal for such demands.

The Acer Swift X (2023) is very good for engineering and design, while the HP 14" Laptop is only fair.
The Acer Swift X, designed for engineering and design tasks, boasts a more powerful Intel CPU, double the RAM, and a superior Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU compared to the HP 14" Laptop, which has a sufficient AMD Ryzen CPU and integrated graphics for fair performance; furthermore, the Acer's higher-quality screen with better resolution and color coverage enhances those tasks, while HP offers a more modest screen experience. While both are fairly portable and have good keyboards, the Acer will likely be noisier under load due to its more powerful components.

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the HP 14" Laptop for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Swift X boasts a higher resolution and brightness, making it suitable for general use where clarity and visibility are crucial. The inclusion of wider color gamuts enhances the Acer's display for engineering and design, ensuring accurate color reproduction. However, the Acer's lower refresh rate limits its appeal for gaming and 3D work, where the HP 14" Laptop also falls short, despite being serviceable for daily tasks and some design work with its fair screen, but it doesn't support the smoother visuals critical for high-paced gaming experiences.

"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"This feels like an ideal laptop for someone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on a laptop and isn’t too bothered by things like build quality or construction. It’s a laptop that will be used to pay bills, keep track of expenses, do some online shopping, and will be tucked away in a spare bedroom/home office. It’s an appliance designed to do a job without fuss. It’s not a premium experience—the materials do feel a little cheap, the display won’t exactly wow you, and the battery life is nothing to write home about, especially if you’ve used more expensive devices. But overall it’s not too shabby, especially for the price."
