For a lower midrange price, the Acer Swift X (2023) offers a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card and higher battery capacity, making it better for intensive engineering tasks or gaming, but it is heavier and thicker than the Dell XPS 13 Plus. Conversely, the Dell XPS 13 Plus is more expensive but has a higher RAM, a superior OLED display with a higher resolution, touch capability, and is more portable due to its lighter and thinner build. Its integrated Iris Xe GPU is less suited for heavy 3D work or gaming compared to the Swift X. Give Feedback

The Dell XPS 13 Plus has a better screen than the Acer Swift X for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Swift X, with its combination of resolution and brightness, provides crisp and vibrant visuals for everyday tasks and professional design work, while its limited refresh rate doesn't suit the fast-paced action in gaming and 3D applications. Meanwhile, the Dell XPS 13 Plus offers even more precise colors and brightness, enhancing the experience for engineering and high-level design where color accuracy is crucial. However, like the Acer, it falls short for gaming due to a lower refresh rate that can't smoothly handle rapid motion graphics.

The Dell XPS 13 Plus and Acer Swift X (2023) are both very good for engineering and design.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus is rated higher for engineering and design use primarily because it features a stronger CPU, double the RAM, and a higher resolution OLED touchscreen which provides better screen clarity and quality compared to the Acer Swift X's IPS display. While the Acer Swift X also has competent specifications with a capable CPU and dedicated GPU, its lower screen resolution and the absence of touchscreen functionality make it slightly less suited compared to the Dell, which offers a more powerful engineering and design experience, particularly when high-detail visuals and multitasking are involved.

How the Acer Swift X (2023) and the Dell XPS 13 Plus compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
