The Acer Swift X (2023) should be your choice if you're looking for stronger performance in general use and especially in 3D, machine learning, and engineering tasks, thanks to its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics. Its battery life is also better, and it boasts a higher refresh rate and pixel density for a crisper and smoother display, which will be an advantage for gaming and watching videos. However, compared to the Dell Inspiron 16 5625, the Acer Swift X is less portable due to its slightly heavier build.
On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 could appeal to you if you prefer a larger screen, integrated touch support, and a lower price point. Its built-in AMD graphics are suitable for less graphically intensive tasks but fall short for demanding work like advanced 3D rendering or machine learning. Furthermore, the Dell Inspiron has a shorter battery life and doesn't offer the gaming performance that comes with the Swift X, but it does come with Windows 11 Pro as opposed to the Home version in the Acer. How the Acer Swift X (2023) and the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"I think there is fair value in the Inspiron 16 this year. Very little has changed with the laptop and my opinion hasn’t really changed either. In other words, I like it. Overall, I think the pros far outweigh the cons of this laptop and the price is certainly justifiable. I found this to be a great typer and I could potentially work all day on this machine, provided I don’t need a graphics card."
