The Acer Swift X (2023) generally costs a bit more than the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 but offers a more powerful processor and a dedicated Nvidia graphics card, leading to superior performance in general use and especially for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering applications. It also has a higher screen refresh rate and better color accuracy that can be beneficial for creative work. However, the Dell Inspiron excels in battery life, providing longer usage on a single charge, which, alongside its slightly lighter weight, might make it more suitable for users prioritizing portability and battery over performance. Neither are built for intensive gaming, but the Swift's dedicated GPU gives it the edge for lighter gaming. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Acer Swift X offers a superior screen with brighter and clearer visuals due to its higher resolution and panel quality, making it more pleasant for browsing, productivity tasks, and media consumption. Meanwhile, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425's screen quality is adequate for day-to-day tasks like document editing and web surfing, but it might not be as crisp or vibrant. For engineering and design, the Swift X's wider color gamut coverage means it can display more accurate colors, crucial for detailed design work, but for gaming or 3D applications, both laptops may fall short as they lack high refresh rates which are key for smooth motion and responsiveness in fast-paced visuals.

How the Acer Swift X (2023) and the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"A slim chassis, an acceptable weight (1.6 kg) and a real-world battery life of almost 13 hours turn the Inspiron into a mobile companion. Good: The battery can not only be charged using Dell's proprietary power adapter, but also with a universal USB-C power adapter (min. 45 watts). Office and Internet applications are handled by the built-in combination of Ryzen 5 5625U APU and 16 GB of RAM just as easily as modest computer games. Heat and noise development are generally okay, but the laptop should work a bit quieter under full load."
