If you prioritize portability and higher performance for tasks like video editing or design work, the Acer Swift Edge 16 offers a lightweight build and more powerful specs. However, if you're looking for a larger screen size for multitasking and are okay with slightly lower performance, which may not be as suitable for intensive tasks, the ASUS Vivobook 17 could be preferable. Note that the Acer may also have a better battery life, beneficial if you're frequently on the move, while the ASUS with a bigger screen may consume more power. Choose the Acer for performance and portability or the ASUS for a larger display at a possibly lower cost. Give Feedback

PCWorld

Matthew S. Smith | October 2023
"The Acer Swift Edge 16 is a solid super thin-and-light that pairs a large, gorgeous 16-inch display with portable design that rivals the weight of LG’s superlight Gram 16. Remarkably, Acer achieves this at a lower price point without sacrificing performance. Boring design and disappointing battery life hold the laptop back from stardom, but its rivals frequently suffer in these areas, too. That makes the Swift Edge 16 an alluring value pick."

NotebookCheck

Marvin Gollor | May 2022
"The ASUS Vivobook 17 is an affordable 17-inch laptop with passive cooling. On one hand, you get a really quiet and cool work device with a good system performance, many connections, good maintenance options, speakers acceptable for multimedia enjoyment, and a sharp and clear matte FHD IPS display with the Asus VivoBook 17 (F712JA). On the other hand, the USB-C port lacks Power Delivery and DisplayPort, and the display, a higher brightness and better color space coverage."
