If you prioritize a lower price and longer battery life, the Acer Swift 3 may suit you well for general use and is great for portability. However, if you want slightly better build quality, screen colors, and keyboard, and value facial recognition for security, the MSI Prestige 14 could be worth the extra cost. Both have similar performance for engineering and 3D/machine learning tasks, and neither is optimized for intensive gaming, but the Acer Swift 3 has a touch screen while the MSI does not. Both are lightweight and similar in size, making either a good option for carrying around. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift 3 has a better screen than the MSI Prestige 14 for software development.
For general use, both the Acer Swift 3 and the MSI Prestige 14 offer displays with ample resolution and brightness, giving you clear and vibrant visual quality for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. When it comes to engineering and design, these laptops may lack the wider color gamut coverage needed by professionals for precise color work but still provide decent fidelity for casual design work. However, gamers and 3D designers seeking smooth visuals might find the lower refresh rates on these models less than ideal, leading to less fluid motion compared to laptops specifically tailored for these demanding visual tasks.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the MSI Prestige 14 compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"The MSI Prestige 14” is excellent for productivity and business use cases, but it is not ideal for creators or visual content editors. The Prestige was able to power through days of email, spreadsheets, and text documents without breaking a sweat and was a joy to use. The additional ports were a breath of fresh air, as most laptops seem to be moving towards just Thunderbolt ports. The security options made signing in effortless, with two quick, more secure, and faster options than even the most complex alphanumeric passcode."
