The Acer Swift 3 is a good choice for general use and has a higher quality screen, making it suitable for work that involves color accuracy. It has a longer battery life and is more portable due to its lighter weight. On the other hand, the MSI GF63 Thin, with its dedicated NVIDIA graphics, is more suitable for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks. However, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable and convenient for on-the-go use. Additionally, the MSI might cost a bit more and offer less storage space than the Acer. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift 3 has a better screen than the MSI GF63 Thin for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When considering screen quality for general use, the Acer Swift 3 likely offers a combination of a higher resolution and brighter display than the MSI GF63 Thin, making it suitable for everyday tasks, such as browsing and video streaming. For engineering and design, the Acer Swift 3 presumably provides better color accuracy and wider color gamuts, which are essential for tasks requiring precise color representation, like photo editing or CAD work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth motion and gameplay, may be lower on both models, hence why the screens are considered to have poor quality in this regard, with the Acer Swift 3 not necessarily designed with these high-refresh-rate demands in mind.

The Acer Swift 3 and MSI GF63 Thin are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift 3, with its integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, is less suited for high-end gaming and demanding 3D work than the MSI GF63 Thin, which is equipped with a dedicated Nvidia GTX 1650 Max-Q GPU that offers better performance in these areas. However, both have the same screen refresh rate, which might limit the gaming experience on high frame rates; the Swift 3 has a better screen quality, which could enhance your viewing experience during less intensive tasks.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the MSI GF63 Thin compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"If you leave aside the meagre port selection (no card reader, no DisplayPort, no Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.1 Gen2), the fan control that could be improved (idle mode!) and the relatively dark and slow display, the MSI GF63 Thin 9SC does not have any major weaknesses. The 15-inch gamer is compact, has a low weight and offers a good price-to-performance ratio, which should please gamers that are looking for both a portable and an affordable gaming notebook. Input devices, battery life, case quality and performance are all appropriate for this purchase price."
