Consider your priorities when choosing between the Acer Swift 3 and the LG Gram 16. The Acer Swift 3 is budget-friendly and offers good performance for general use, but if you require a laptop with a longer battery life and a larger display with a higher resolution for detailed work, the LG Gram 16 may be worth the additional investment. Both have capable processors and integrated graphics, making them suitable for everyday tasks and light creative work, but they might struggle with intensive 3D rendering or engineering software. The Swift 3 is more portable due to its smaller size and might be preferable if you travel frequently, whereas the LG Gram 16, while still lightweight, provides a more spacious and higher-quality screen desirable for multitasking and media consumption. Features such as backlit keyboards are present on both, but only the LG Gram 16 offers facial recognition for added security. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 16 has a better screen than the Acer Swift 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
For general use, the Acer Swift 3 and LG Gram 16 have screens with sufficient resolution and brightness, making documents, websites, and videos clear and easy to view. Engineering and design work benefit from their accurate color representation, covering a wider range of the color spectrum, which is crucial for tasks requiring color precision. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short as their screens don't offer high refresh rates, resulting in less fluid motion and potentially less immersive experiences in fast-paced scenarios.

The LG Gram 16 and Acer Swift 3 are both good for general use.
The Acer Swift 3 offers solid performance for general use with an Intel i5 processor and 16GB RAM, coupled with a 14-inch IPS touchscreen display that ensures good screen quality; its moderate weight and battery capacity provide a balance between portability and battery life. On the other hand, the LG Gram 16 stands out with a more powerful Intel i7 processor and a larger, higher-resolution 16-inch screen for those who prioritize a larger display and better performance, while its lighter weight and larger battery capacity make it extremely portable and capable of longer use without recharging. Both laptops have similar RAM, contributing to multitasking efficiency, and storage capabilities, though the LG Gram has a slightly lower capacity which may matter less for users who rely on cloud storage or external drives.

The LG Gram 16 and Acer Swift 3 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift 3 and the LG Gram 16 are both limited in gaming and 3D applications due to their integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and 60 Hz screen refresh rates, which are less capable than dedicated gaming GPUs and higher refresh rate displays. While the Swift's GPU is paired with an i5 processor and the Gram's with an i7, offering somewhat better performance, neither setup is ideal for demanding gaming or 3D tasks, but they can handle moderately intensive graphics fairly well.

The LG Gram 16 and Acer Swift 3 are both good for engineering and design.
The Acer Swift 3 is suitable for engineering and design use due to its powerful Intel i5 CPU, ample 16 GB of RAM, and capable integrated Iris Xe GPU, all of which support intensive applications, while its 14-inch IPS display offers good screen quality and touch capability. In comparison, the LG Gram 16 offers a more robust Intel i7 processor and the same amount of RAM and GPU type, with the advantage of a larger and higher-resolution 16-inch display for detailed work, though it compromises on storage capacity with only half compared to the Acer Swift 3.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
