When choosing between the Acer Swift 3 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7, you should consider both your budget and intended use. The Acer Swift 3 is a budget-friendly option, more portable, with a longer battery life and a touchscreen, which makes it a good choice for general use like browsing, office tasks, or media consumption. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is more expensive but offers a stronger performance for gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering programs due to its powerful processor and dedicated graphics card; however, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life. If portability and cost are your priority, go for the Acer Swift 3, but if you need better performance for intensive tasks and gaming, the Legion Slim 7 may be worth the extra cost despite its lower portability. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Swift 3 is only fair.
The Acer Swift 3 is equipped with an integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and a 60Hz screen refresh rate which, while adequate for casual gaming, may struggle with more demanding 3D tasks compared to the Lenovo Legion Slim 7, as it boasts a more powerful Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card and a higher 165Hz screen refresh rate, resulting in smoother visuals and better performance for gaming and 3D applications. Additionally, the Legion Slim 7's superior CPU adds to its edge in gaming and 3D rendering, and although its screen has the same resolution, its higher brightness and better contrast ratio also contribute to a more vibrant and immersive visual experience.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the Acer Swift 3 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Swift 3 and Lenovo Legion Slim 7 both have panels with resolutions and brightness levels that satisfy general use demands, offering clear and vivid displays for everyday tasks. For engineering and design, their screens cover a broad range of colors, essential for precision in visual work, but their color accuracy may not be top-tier compared to specialized professional monitors. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rates on these laptops can lead to less fluid visuals, which is not ideal for fast-paced or graphically intensive content where smooth motion is crucial.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
