The Acer Swift 3, often less expensive, is more portable with longer battery life, making it suitable for general use, and it features a touchscreen. However, if you require higher performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or intensive engineering applications, the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i, while more expensive and heavier with shorter battery life, comes with a more powerful processor, better graphics, and a higher resolution display. The IdeaPad Pro 5i also caters to gaming, albeit at a cost to its portability. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i has a better screen than the Acer Swift 3 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
If you prioritize a sharp, bright display for day-to-day tasks such as web browsing or watching videos, the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i stands out with its higher resolution and brightness, making it a superior choice for general use. For engineering and design, where accurate color reproduction is crucial, the IdeaPad Pro 5i again has an edge due to better coverage of professional color gamuts, ensuring that designs are rendered with precision. However, neither the Acer Swift 3 nor the IdeaPad Pro 5i is ideal for gaming or 3D applications because they lack high refresh rates, which are essential for smooth motion and fast-paced action.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i represents an impressive opening salvo for Meteor Lake in the ultraportable space against familiar foes from AMD and Apple. Not only does the Core Ultra 5 125H processor provide good performance across the board, but battery life remains a strong point against the Acer Swift Edge 16 with its AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor. It can’t quite match the endurance of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but the gap is shrinking."
