Considering your decision between the Acer Swift 3 and the Framework Laptop 13 (2023), here are some key comparisons to guide you. The Acer Swift 3 is a more budget-friendly option, generally less expensive with double the storage capacity, and greater battery life for extended use. In contrast, the Framework Laptop is more expensive, with less storage and RAM, but it has a higher resolution display, offering sharper images and better screen color quality. It is also slightly heavier but scores higher in portability due to its smaller size. Both have similar central and graphics processors, adequate for general use, engineering, and some light 3D/machine learning tasks. However, if expandability is a concern, the Framework provides more flexibility with available RAM and storage slots. If you're looking for a more affordable laptop with longer battery life and sufficient performance for everyday tasks, the Acer Swift 3 is a solid choice. If you prioritize a better screen, portability, and potential for upgrades despite a shorter battery life and higher cost, the Framework Laptop may be the better option. Give Feedback

How the Acer Swift 3 and the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"If you’re thinking of investing in your first Framework, now is the time. The kinks and rough edges have all been smoothed out and this is a very nice machine with a bright, upgradable future. The only reason I can think of to wait is the AMD model, which I’ll be sure to test as soon as I can get my hands on one."
