The Eluktronics RP-15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Swift 3 is only fair.
The Acer Swift 3's integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics are less powerful compared to the Eluktronics RP-15's dedicated Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, which is crucial for gaming and 3D applications. Additionally, while the Swift 3 has a 60Hz screen refresh rate, the RP-15's higher 165Hz screen refresh rate makes it more suitable for the smoother visuals demanded by gaming and 3D rendering.

The Eluktronics RP-15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Swift 3 is good.
The Eluktronics RP-15 outperforms the Acer Swift 3 in engineering and design tasks mainly due to its more powerful AMD Ryzen CPU and dedicated Nvidia GPU, which contribute to significantly improved processing and graphics capabilities that are crucial for such applications. The RP-15's higher resolution display also offers better screen quality, yet it is less portable and has increased operating noise compared to the lighter, quieter, but less powerful Acer Swift 3 with integrated graphics and lower screen resolution.

The Eluktronics RP-15 has a better screen than the Acer Swift 3 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
When considering the Acer Swift 3 for general use, its screen likely offers a decent combination of resolution and brightness, making text and images clear and comfortable to view. For engineering and design, while the resolution remains a benefit, it may lack wide color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, which are crucial for color accuracy in professional work. The poor assessment for Gaming and 3D on both laptops suggests they have screens with lower refresh rates, which can result in less smooth visuals in fast-paced environments, despite their sufficiency in resolution and panel quality for other tasks.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the Eluktronics RP-15 compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"To conclude, I’m genuinely impressed with Eluktronics and what they have been able to deliver with the RP-15. You see this is all about maximizing performance, cooling, and giving users the most flexible I/O, and then wrapping it into a chassis that doesn’t feel super cheap. Let’s also not forget the price point, I think they have really nailed it in that department."
