The Acer Swift 3 generally costs less and offers good performance for general use with a slightly better battery life, along with a very light and thin design that makes it highly portable. It's suitable if you value longer work sessions away from power outlets and need a laptop that's easy to carry around. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 comes with more storage out-of-the-box and has a higher resolution display which might be preferable for tasks that require more screen space and a sharper image, like photo editing or reading text. However, it's heavier, which could be less convenient for frequent travel. Both have enough power for everyday tasks and casual gaming but may not be ideal for more graphically demanding games or intensive engineering software. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift 3 has a better screen than the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Swift 3 offers a better screen for general use and engineering because it likely has higher resolution, superior panel technology, and greater brightness, which enhance visibility and clarity for everyday tasks and detailed work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, its lower refresh rate hampers the experience by not providing as smooth motion, which is less ideal for fast-paced visuals. The Dell Inspiron 14 7435, with fair screen quality in both general use and engineering design, likely strikes a balance in resolution and panel quality, but falls short in providing the wider color gamuts necessary for precision in color-sensitive tasks.

The Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 and Acer Swift 3 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift 3 and Dell Inspiron 14 7435 are fair for gaming and 3D primarily due to their integrated graphics: the Swift 3 with Intel Iris Xe and the Inspiron with Vega 8, which are capable but not top-tier for heavy gaming or high-end 3D work. Both have a 60Hz screen refresh rate and IPS panels, providing good color and viewing angles, but not the high refresh rates preferred for fast-paced gaming; additionally, the CPUs, an Intel i5 for the Swift and an AMD Ryzen 7 for the Inspiron, offer decent performance for general tasks but may not keep up with more demanding gaming or engineering software.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."
