The Acer Swift 3 offers better overall performance and a higher quality backlit keyboard, suitable for a wide range of tasks including engineering work and has a touch-enabled display, which might justify its higher price compared to the ASUS Vivobook Go 14. The Swift 3 also boasts longer battery life. On the other hand, the Vivobook Go 14 is less expensive, but it has less storage space and lower performance capabilities, making it more suited for general use rather than intensive tasks. Both laptops have similar screen sizes and types, but the Acer's screen shows better color accuracy and brightness, enhancing the viewing experience. If portability is a concern, both score closely, but the Vivobook is slightly heavier. Both come without a number pad but feature a backlit keyboard. If your priority is moderate use without stretching your budget, the Vivobook might suffice, while the Swift 3 is geared towards more demanding tasks and users who need a more responsive and longer-lasting machine. The Acer Swift 3 is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is only fair.
The Acer Swift 3 offers better performance for general use with a more powerful CPU, double the RAM, and a touchscreen with higher brightness, while maintaining very good battery life and portability. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook Go 14, although still very portable, has a less powerful CPU, half the RAM, and a lower-quality screen without touch capability, and critics deem its battery life and speaker quality as merely fair.

The Acer Swift 3 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Swift 3's better resolution and superior brightness enhance clarity and detail for everyday tasks and professional engineering software, while its panel type provides a balanced color output. However, lacking a high refresh rate makes it less suitable for smooth gaming and 3D applications. The ASUS Vivobook Go 14 offers acceptable clarity for routine use and basic design work, but its modest color gamut coverage and screen features don't provide the vibrancy that intricate engineering tasks demand, nor the fluid motion needed for immersive gaming experiences.

"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"The lack of a backlit keyboard in this price segment shouldn't sway the buyer the other way. However, it still comes down to user preference. The Vivobook Go 14 is a decent laptop in an extremely competitive price segment. A few omissions are a part of the balancing to reach the price segment. The Asus Vivobook Go 14 is a rare find when it comes to the price to performance ratio."
