If you prioritize better portability and longer battery life, the Acer Swift 3 might be preferable as it generally weighs less and has superior battery capacity compared to the ASUS Vivobook 15X. However, for better performance in general use but particularly for more advanced tasks such as 3D rendering or engineering software, the Acer Swift 3's greater RAM capacity could prove advantageous. Both laptops have similar storage and screen size with good color coverage, but if price is a major factor, you may consider the ASUS Vivobook 15X as it comes in at a generally lower price point, although with a compromise in RAM and battery life. Remember, the Acer includes a touchscreen feature that the ASUS lacks, which adds to its functionality for interactive tasks or creative work. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift 3 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Swift 3 offers a bright and high-resolution display that enhances the viewing experience for browsing, document editing, and media consumption, making it suitable for general use and engineering tasks that require clarity and color accuracy. However, its lower refresh rate affects the smoothness and responsiveness required for gaming and 3D applications. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook 15X provides a balance with adequate resolution and color representation for both general use and engineering tasks, yet still falls short in refresh rate for optimal gaming and 3D content creation.

The Acer Swift 3 has very good portability, while the ASUS Vivobook 15X has good portability.
The most portable laptops are small, thin, and light.
The Acer Swift 3 and ASUS Vivobook 15X are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift 3 and ASUS Vivobook 15X are considered fair for gaming and 3D because both machines have integrated GPUs which are less powerful compared to dedicated gaming GPUs, and their screen refresh rates are standard at 60Hz, which is adequate for basic gaming but not optimal for high-frame-rate gaming. The Swift 3's Intel Iris Xe and Vivobook 15X's AMD Vega 7 graphics are sufficient for less demanding games, but they won't provide the best experience for intensive gaming titles or professional 3D work.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the ASUS Vivobook 15X compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
