The Acer Swift 3 is often significantly less expensive and more portable, making it suitable for general use with its lightweight design, touchscreen, and decent battery life. It's great for daily tasks like browsing, office work, and streaming. On the other hand, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition, while often significantly more expensive, offers a substantial jump in performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming due to its powerful CPU and GPU. It, however, is heavier and less portable, with a shorter battery life, which might be a concern if mobility and all-day use are priorities. For engineering tasks and intensive gaming, the ASUS excels, but for general productivity on the go, the Acer may be the better choice. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sebastian Jentsch | February 2022
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."

Tom's Hardware

Andrew E. Freedman | August 2022
"The Asus ROG Strix G15, as the first in a line of "AMD Advantage"-branded notebooks, is a statement that yes, you can get a premium AMD gaming notebook. Maybe you can't have it all, but you can get pretty close. The ROG Strix G15's combination of the AMD Ryzen 5900HX and Radeon RX 6800M, as well as other technologies that take advantage of them, make a potent, thin gaming machine. Powerful Dolby Atmos speakers and long battery life when you aren't gaming are nice bonuses."
