If you prioritize higher storage capacity and a laptop that is lighter and slimmer for better portability, along with a higher quality display and slightly better general use performance, choose the Acer Swift 14, though it comes at a higher price. Alternatively, the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 is less expensive and offers good general performance with a quality keyboard and slightly better battery life, but it has less storage, a heavier build, and the display quality is not as high as the Acer Swift 14. Neither of these options is ideal for intensive gaming or top-tier engineering tasks. Choose based on what trade-offs are most important to you between cost, performance, portability, and display quality. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift 14 is very good for general use, while the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 is good.
The Acer Swift 14 excels in general use due to its higher screen quality with better color coverage and brightness, more powerful CPU, and lighter weight that contributes to its portability, although both laptops have the same amount of RAM. On the other hand, while the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 has a keyboard and webcam that are rated very good, its performance is limited by a less capable CPU and lower screen resolution and brightness, also offering less portability due to higher weight.

The Acer Swift 14 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Swift 14's screen quality excels in engineering and design due to its wider color coverage, ensuring precision in color work, and its high resolution and brightness make it suitable for general usage. How the Acer Swift 14 and the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
"Overall, this Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 offers a lot to like, especially at its oft-discounted price of $800. It’s a sturdy laptop with strong performance, a convertible touchscreen, loud speakers, and a convenient fingerprint reader. But the trade-offs you’ll make in pursuit of that lower price—most notably the dim display and stiff trackpad—might just keep you from outright loving it."
