The Acer Predator Triton 300 is slightly less expensive than the MSI GP66 Leopard and offers a strong balance of price to performance for general use and gaming; however, it comes with a less powerful Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card compared to the MSI's RTX 3080, which means you'll get lower performance in 3D rendering, machine learning and intensive gaming. The MSI GP66 Leopard offers better performance for demanding tasks but is heavier and pricier, making it less portable. Both have similar storage, RAM, and screen size, but if gaming and high-performance tasks are a priority and you don't mind the extra weight and cost, the MSI GP66 Leopard might be more suitable. How the Acer Predator Triton 300 and the MSI GP66 Leopard compare to other laptops
"In our particular review configuration, the Acer Predator Triton 300 turned out to be a fairly powerful gaming notebook. Both CPU and GPU performance were at a high level, and the aluminum case turned out to be fairly robust. Only the display lid could have been a bit more robust. For customers on a budget that do not mind tinkering with the device’s fan management the Acer Predator Triton 300 can be worth a closer look."
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
