For a balance of performance and portability with a focus on gaming, 3D tasks, and machine learning, the Acer Predator Helios 300 is a solid choice with its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU and higher refresh rate screen, making it suitable for intensive gaming and engineering tasks. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED. If you prioritize a vibrant OLED display with higher resolution, longer battery life, and a more compact and lightweight design for general use and content consumption, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED, with its Intel Arc integrated graphics, is the better option, despite its lower performance in gaming and intensive tasks. How the Acer Predator Helios 300 and the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED compare to other laptops
"The Acer Predator Helios 300 review is an overclocked gaming laptop with a good display. The Predator is large, heavy, and loud, but also offers plenty of performance according to gamers. An overclocked gaming laptop - or its user - also has to struggle with the usual disadvantages we mentioned above. On the other hand, overclocking is optional, and those who like it quieter and can live with a few less frames per second can also switch to the significantly more moderate Standard mode. Then the Helios 300 won't be any louder than the competitors."
"The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED excels as a capable work machine at an affordable price. It offers commendable performance, thanks to its 12th Gen Intel chip, delivers quality on-screen entertainment with its 15.6-inch OLED display, and can (kind of) get you through a full day of work. Oh, and its special Asus Antibacterial Guard is a nice touch for those who like a clean laptop."
