The Acer Predator Helios 16 offers better performance with a more powerful processor and GPU, larger storage, and higher resolution display, which suits intensive engineering tasks, 3D work, and gaming; however, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. On the other hand, the MSI Pulse GL66, while less powerful, is lighter and might be more suitable for general use with its longer battery life, though it has less storage and a lower resolution screen. The Acer Predator Helios 16 is very good for general use, while the MSI Pulse GL66 is good.
The Acer Predator Helios 16 and MSI Pulse GL66 are suitable for general use because they both have powerful processors and ample RAM, supporting a variety of tasks, with high-quality IPS screens for good viewing angles and color reproduction. However, the Helios 16 offers a larger screen with better resolution and color coverage, and longer battery life, making it more versatile for multimedia and productivity, whereas the Pulse GL66 is lighter and somewhat more portable, but trades off battery life and screen features.

The Acer Predator Helios 16 is very good for gaming and AI, while the MSI Pulse GL66 is good.
The Acer Predator Helios 16 is equipped with a more powerful Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and a higher screen refresh rate, which makes it very good for gaming and 3D applications, providing smoother visuals and better rendering capabilities. In comparison, the MSI Pulse GL66 comes with a Nvidia RTX 3070, which is still competent for gaming, but its lower refresh rate makes it less optimal for the most fluid gaming and 3D experience.

The Acer Predator Helios 16 has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Acer Predator Helios 16's superior panel type, higher resolution, and brightness offer a clearer and more vibrant display, making it well-suited for everyday tasks and media consumption. In contrast, the MSI Pulse GL66's screen, while adequate, may not provide as sharp or bright an image. For engineering and design, the Acer's coverage of color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB ensures more accurate color reproduction critical for these tasks, whereas the MSI's lesser color accuracy may not satisfy professionals' needs. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rate of the Acer's display may lead to less fluid visuals compared to what the MSI would offer if it had a higher refresh rate, with resolution and panel type also contributing to overall experience but being less critical than refresh rate.

"The Predator Helios 16 stacks up well against its closest competition in benchmark comparisons. The Acer Predator Helios 16 isn't perfect. It's bulky, its lid feels flimsy and some of its keys are just too damned small – but none of its problems are fatal, and it shines where it counts. The powerful graphics and processor combo are spot on for this price point, the fans stop it getting hot under pressure, and the display is as good as you’ll find under $2,500. It's simply one of the best laptops to play demanding games on."
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
