The Acer Nitro 5 17 offers a good balance between performance and price, suitable if you're on a tighter budget and need a powerful GPU for gaming or resource-intensive tasks. However, it's heavier and bulkier, making it less ideal for frequent travel. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is more portable with its smaller, lighter design and higher-resolution touchscreen, which may appeal to creative professionals or those who value mobility and versatility. While it has a high-quality build and revolutionary features, it's more expensive. In terms of raw performance, especially for engineering tasks, both laptops are comparably equipped, but the Acer might give you slightly better gaming performance due to its GPU, at the expense of a bulkier build and less portability than the ASUS. How the Acer Nitro 5 17 and the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 17 is a solid mid-range gamer. The Nitro 5 does not belong to the top group of RTX 3070 notebooks: Compared with the RTX 3070 notebooks tested so far, the computer delivers below-average frame rates - this is due to the 100-watt TGP. The GPU performance can be increased a bit with a firmware update. The device scores with a high level of CPU performance. Throttling is not a concern. CPU and GPU can produce their performance constantly. The laptop heats up moderately under load. The noise development is on the usual class level."
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
