The Acer Nitro 5 15 is a lower midrange option, appealing if you're looking for good performance at an often significantly less expensive price. It's suitable for intensive gaming, with respectable battery life and a quality display. In contrast, the Razer Blade 18 is a high-end device that commands a significantly higher price. It offers premium features, including a more powerful processor, a more advanced graphics card, and a larger, higher-resolution display. It also has a better battery life and portability score. Consider the Razer Blade 18 if your tasks demand top-notch specifications and you prefer a larger screen, especially for engineering or intensive 3D and machine learning work. However, the added cost and size could be a downside for frequent travel or if budget is a concern. The Acer Nitro 5 15, while less powerful, offers a balance for general gaming and use at a more accessible price point. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2022
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."

PCMag

Matthew Buzzi | March 2023
"Razer made a powerful laptop in the Blade 18, showing off a beautiful and fast display and the same high-quality build we’ve come to expect from this product line. It’s also quite expensive, which is hardly a surprise, but bears repeating even in this price range. It’s pricier than the Scar 18 despite an inferior GPU and half the storage, so you really have to want the Blade 18’s design to justify the cost."
