If you prioritize performance and battery life, the MSI Thin GF63 has a more powerful processor but a slightly lesser battery capacity than the Acer Nitro 5 15. However, the Acer has a larger battery, potentially offering longer unplugged use times. The MSI is also lighter and thinner, making it more portable, but the Acer offers better connectivity with more USB ports. For gaming or graphic-intensive tasks, both have the same graphics card, so performance should be similar. The MSI might have a slight edge for multitasking and intensive tasks due to its processor, while the Acer could be more suitable if you need longer battery life and value additional USB ports. The Acer Nitro 5 15 has a better screen than the MSI Thin GF63 for general use.
When selecting a laptop for general use, the Acer Nitro 5 15's good screen quality ensures vibrant and clear visuals due to its resolution and brightness, making everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming enjoyable. For engineering and design, the screen may not display colors as accurately as professionals might need due to limited color gamuts, which could affect the precision of visual work. Gamers and 3D enthusiasts may find the Acer Nitro 5 15's lower refresh rate less appealing for fast-paced games or smooth 3D rendering, even though the resolution and panel type provide a decent visual experience for less demanding activities.

How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the MSI Thin GF63 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"The MSI GF63 Thin 11SC can be an admirable value for gamers and power users on a minimal budget. For just $599 as reviewed in its base model, its Intel Core i5 H-class processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics perform much better than low-wattage CPUs and integrated graphics. That said, this is a light-class gaming laptop. Low scores in our demanding gaming benchmarks indicate using lower visual-quality settings will be required for playable performance."
