Choosing between the Acer Nitro 5 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio depends on your priorities. The Acer Nitro 5 costs less and offers strong gaming and engineering performance, with features like a dedicated number pad and hardware ray tracing. However, it’s heavier and thicker, which impacts portability. The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio costs more but is lighter and boasts a higher resolution touchscreen with a unique 3:2 aspect ratio, which is great for productivity tasks. It has a superior build quality and battery life, but its performance in gaming and engineering might not match that of the Acer Nitro 5. Give Feedback

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio has a better screen than the Acer Nitro 5 15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Nitro 5 15's screen offers adequate brightness and resolution for everyday tasks, but it may not provide the wide color spectrum needed for precision in engineering and design tasks. The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio, with its higher resolution and better color accuracy, excels in presenting crisp and vibrant visuals that are beneficial for detailed work in engineering and design. However, for gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is key, neither laptop's screen is optimal due to lower refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid motion and a less immersive experience.

How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"There’s no doubt that the Surface Laptop Studio is groundbreaking. We’ve come to expect such things from the Surface lineup, so it’s always nice to see a product that exceeds our expectations. The pull-forward laptop-screen concept has been tried before, but never in a device that’s so stylish and packed with innovative features like a haptic touchpad and robust digital stylus support."
