The Acer Nitro 5 15 offers better 3D and gaming performance, due to its more powerful GPU, and is a bit heavier, which might affect portability. In contrast, the Lenovo Slim 7 16 has a better screen resolution and touchscreen functionality, a larger battery leading to longer battery life, and is lighter making it more portable, but is equipped with a less powerful GPU which may not be as good for intensive gaming or 3D tasks. If your priority is gaming or 3D modeling, the Acer might be the better choice, while the Lenovo is more suitable for general use with a preference for screen quality and portability. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2022
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."

PCMag

Eric Grevstad | March 2022
"At $1,011, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro is a real bargain among full-sized laptops, with a handsome 16-inch, 16:10 aspect ratio touch screen, a speedy CPU, a comfortable keyboard, ample memory, and a roomy solid-state drive. It's not a blazing gaming rig or mobile workstation, but it doesn't pretend to be. Its biggest negative is that it may be hard to find—during our review, it sold out and was marked "Temporarily Unavailable" on Lenovo's site."
