If portability is essential for you and you engage in general usage like web browsing, document editing, or watching videos, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro stands out with a lighter weight and longer battery life. For more intensive tasks like engineering software, video editing, or gaming that require greater graphics power, the Acer Nitro 5 with its dedicated Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU is the better option despite being heavier. The Acer is less expensive but also less portable than the Lenovo, which also offers a higher resolution touchscreen display but is typically pricier. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen than the Acer Nitro 5 15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro offers a high-resolution display with bright and clear output, making it superior to the Acer Nitro 5 15 which, while adequate, does not provide the same level of detail or brightness. In engineering and design, the Lenovo's display provides a wider color gamut, ensuring more accurate and vibrant color reproduction which is essential for professional work, outshining the Acer in this regard. However, for gaming and 3D applications where higher refresh rates are crucial for smooth visuals, both laptops fall short, as neither is specifically equipped with the high-refresh panels that these tasks benefit from.

How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
