The Acer Nitro 5 15 tends to be more affordable and offers a larger screen, higher refresh rate for smooth visuals, and a dedicated Nvidia graphics card that excels in 3D rendering and gaming. It has a decent battery life for its class, a backlit RGB keyboard, and is preconfigured with more RAM and storage. However, it is heavier and less portable.
The Framework Laptop 13 boasts a higher resolution and brighter display with better colors, making it great for professional creative work. It is lighter, more portable, offers more modern USB-C and Thunderbolt ports, and has a slightly better battery life. It features a modular design for easy upgrades and repairability but comes with less default memory and storage, and relies on integrated graphics, which are less suitable for intensive gaming or 3D tasks. This laptop is a bit more expensive and may be better for users prioritizing portability, screen quality, and sustainability. Give Feedback

The Framework Laptop 13 has a better screen than the Acer Nitro 5 15 for general use, engineering and design, and content creation.
If you prioritize a clear and vibrant display for daily tasks like web browsing and watching videos, both the Acer Nitro 5 and the Framework Laptop provide displays with adequate resolution and brightness. However, for engineering and design work, where color accuracy is essential, the Framework Laptop's better coverage of color gamuts ensures that the colors you see on-screen will be more true to life. But for gaming and 3D applications where fluid motion is key, neither laptop is ideal due to their lower refresh rates, which may result in less smooth visual experiences during fast-paced action.

How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"If you’re thinking of investing in your first Framework, now is the time. The kinks and rough edges have all been smoothed out and this is a very nice machine with a bright, upgradable future. The only reason I can think of to wait is the AMD model, which I’ll be sure to test as soon as I can get my hands on one."
