The Acer Nitro 5 15 is an excellent choice if you prioritize higher gaming performance due to its powerful graphics card. However, the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 offers a higher battery life, making it a better option for extended use without frequent charging. Both laptops are similar in price and have the same amount of storage and memory. The Acer has a slightly larger screen, but the ASUS provides a higher screen aspect ratio which can be advantageous for productivity tasks. If size and weight are concerns, the ASUS is lighter, enhancing its portability. Both laptops are suitable for intensive gaming, with the Acer potentially delivering slightly better gaming visuals. NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2022
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."

PCWorld

Dominic Bayley | May 2023
"The A16 makes an excellent case against more expensive laptops like the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 and the MSI Katana GF76, especially if you’re into 1080p gaming. However, although its affordable, it doesn’t skimp on performance or a robust chassis. But for me, the biggest factor that sets it apart from these options is its incredible battery life. In my time reviewing laptops, I can’t remember when I last saw a gaming laptop lasted 11 and a half hours on a single charge, which makes the A16, in my book, truly outstanding."
