When choosing between the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2023), consider your priorities. The Acer Nitro 5, which is less expensive, offers good gaming performance with dedicated graphics and a high refresh rate display, making it suitable for gaming and engineering applications. However, it has a lower screen resolution, is heavier, and has a shorter battery life. The MacBook Pro costs more but comes with a higher-resolution Mini LED display, longer battery life, and is lighter, making it highly portable with a premium build. It's suitable for intensive tasks like 3D rendering and engineering but is not designed with gaming in mind. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 16 has a better screen than the Acer Nitro 5 15 for general use, AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Nitro 5 15 has sufficient resolution and brightness, making it viable for everyday tasks and some professional work, but its limited color gamut and refresh rate may fall short for specialized engineering/design needs and high-end gaming. How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2023) compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"The Apple MacBook Pro 16 2023: M2 Max challenges GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. The new MacBook Pro 16 2023 with the M2 Max SoC is the most powerful laptop Apple has on sale right now. While we do not get the expected performance and efficiency improvements from completely new 3 nm chips, which we expected ahead of the launch, the 2023 model is still a solid update. The CPU of the M2 Max can be up to 20 % faster than the old model and we also see an advantage of 25-30 % for the GPU with 38 cores. However, both components also consume more power, so the efficiency did not change that much under maximum load."
