If you need a laptop primarily for gaming or engineering software, the Acer Nitro 5 15 with its dedicated graphics card will offer better performance; however, this device is heavier and has a shorter battery life, impacting its portability. On the other hand, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 is more portable with longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and tasks that benefit from its high-resolution screen and sound build quality. Be aware though, the MacBook Pro usually comes with a higher price tag and could be less suitable for software that is optimized for Windows. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Acer Nitro 5 15 for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Nitro 5's display, while sharp and bright for tasks like browsing and watching videos, may lack the expansive color range critical for engineering and design work, which often requires precise color accuracy, and its slower refresh rate diminishes the gaming experience where fast-paced visuals are key. The Apple MacBook Pro, with a high-resolution and bright display, excels in color reproduction, covering a wide color gamut essential for accurate design and engineering visuals, yet its standard refresh rate may not satisfy the requirement for smooth motion in 3D applications where higher rates are desirable. Furthermore, the MacBook's panel quality and resolution provide a superior viewing experience for everyday tasks but may fall short for gaming enthusiasts who prioritize high refresh rates for fluid graphics.

How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
