When considering the Acer Nitro 17 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15", if a larger screen and marginally better battery life are important for you, the Acer might appeal more despite being more expensive. However, if you're looking for higher gaming performance, due to a better graphics card, and a higher resolution screen, the Lenovo could be the better option while also being somewhat less expensive. The Lenovo is also lighter and smaller, making it more portable, but the higher resolution can result in faster battery drain during intensive tasks. Both have the same processor and amount of memory, so for non-gaming tasks, they should perform similarly. Give Feedback

The Acer Nitro 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for content creation, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Nitro 17 offers a large, vivid display that benefits general use and engineering tasks due to its resolution and color accuracy, but its lower refresh rate is a drawback for gaming and 3D applications which demand rapid image changes. The Lenovo Legion 5 15" provides a high-quality display with strong resolution and brightness, enhancing the user experience across general activities and design work, yet its screen falls short for 3D pursuits, as the refresh rate isn't optimal for the fast-paced visuals typically required. Both laptops, while adequate for general and engineering uses with their decent color gamuts, may not satisfy hardcore gamers or professionals in 3D modeling where high refresh rates are crucial for smooth, immersive visuals.

How the Acer Nitro 17 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 17 isn't an exceptional gaming laptop; it's kind of chunky even among 17.3-inch notebooks, with a lackluster keyboard, and it doesn't outperform comparably priced machines. But there's a lot to like about it, including a good array of ports, a screen that's sharp and bright for work and play alike, and battery life that soundly beats the competition. All this comes at an affordable price. If size and weight aren't big concerns, you'll find the Nitro 17 a dependable big-screen gaming rig. If you crave higher quality, consider a slight step down or up in screen size with the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 or Alienware m18 respectively."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
