The Acer Nitro 16 offers superior performance with more RAM and a more powerful graphics card, making it better suited for gaming and intensive applications like 3D rendering or engineering tasks. With a larger screen and higher resolution, it's ideal for those prioritizing visual work and entertainment, although it's bulkier and heavier than the MSI GF65 Thin. The MSI, on the other hand, is lighter and thus more portable, which may benefit users who travel frequently. However, its older processor and graphics card mean it will not perform as well in demanding scenarios, despite being better for general use and multitasking. Both laptops are similarly priced, so the decision should be based on whether you require high performance and a larger display or a more portable device with adequate capability for everyday tasks. NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2023
"Video editing, rendering and, of course, gaming represent the Nitro 16's core competencies with a Ryzen 7 7735HS and GeForce RTX 4070 providing the necessary power. Both chips run at consistently high clock speeds. A fast PCIe 4 SSD (1 TB) provides the required storage space and ensures short loading times. With the Nitro 16 AN16-41, Acer has a well-specced, mid-range gaming laptop in its portfolio."

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | March 2021
"The MSI GF65 Thin offers a GeForce RTX 3060 on a budget. The MSI GF65 is a relatively inexpensive RTX 3060 laptop and, perhaps not coincidentally, it also comes with a slower-than-average RTX 3060 GPU. Other laptops we've tested thus far with the same GPU are about 10 to 15 percent faster. CPU performance is also slightly slower than average unless if users decide to enable Cooler Boost mode. Colors, black-white response times, Thunderbolt, and DisplayPort are either average or completely omitted. Gamers who want to maximize performance-per-dollar without sacrificing RAM or SSD upgradeability will find the lightweight MSI GF65 attractive."
