The Acer Nitro 16 has better performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks thanks to its more powerful processor and graphics card. It also offers a larger screen with higher resolution, which is beneficial for multitasking and detail-oriented work. However, this laptop is heavier and bulkier, making it less portable than the MSI Cyborg 15. The MSI Cyborg 15 is lighter and more affordable, with decent performance for general use and gaming, but it has less RAM and a lower-capacity battery, which may limit its capabilities in more intensive applications and its unplugged usage time. Both laptops have backlit keyboards and are gaming-appropriate; the Nitro has a higher brightness and color coverage, which can be important for color-sensitive work. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2023
"Video editing, rendering and, of course, gaming represent the Nitro 16's core competencies with a Ryzen 7 7735HS and GeForce RTX 4070 providing the necessary power. Both chips run at consistently high clock speeds. A fast PCIe 4 SSD (1 TB) provides the required storage space and ensures short loading times. With the Nitro 16 AN16-41, Acer has a well-specced, mid-range gaming laptop in its portfolio."

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | April 2023
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
