The Acer Aspire Vero 15 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 for software development, and content creation, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, both the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 have screen characteristics that meet the essential requirements like resolution and brightness, but they're not exceptional, which is why their screen quality is considered fair. In engineering and design, where accurate color representation is crucial, these laptops offer only adequate coverage of professional color gamuts, hence the fair assessment in screen quality. When it comes to Gaming and 3D, the refresh rate—which is crucial for a fluid visual experience—falls short on these models, contributing to their poor rating in screen quality for those specific tasks.

The Acer Aspire Vero 15 and Dell Inspiron 15 3520 are both only fair for engineering and design.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is better suited for engineering and design due to its more powerful i7 processor, higher RAM, and better integrated graphics, which are crucial for complex computations and graphical tasks, while its screen quality is adequate for design work. Comparatively, the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 has a more modest i3 processor, less RAM, and basic integrated graphics, which may struggle with intensive engineering software, and although its screen quality is fair, it may not be ideal for detailed design work.

How the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
"Dell's Inspiron 15 (3525) is a peppy-enough and affordable-enough home or remote work machine, but it's not very ambitious; it does little to go beyond the basics. More the concern: It’s readily overshadowed by a number of machines that outperform and outclass it. Even if the Inspiron can get the job done today, its competition has the mettle to keep doing the job tomorrow in a way the Inspiron simply can’t promise. Plus, those alternatives are much more enjoyable after work."
