Selecting between the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the Acer Swift X (2022) largely depends on your specific needs and preferences. If a lower price and a larger screen are important to you, and you engage primarily in general usage, then the Aspire Vero 15 presents a compelling choice. On the flip side, if you need stronger performance for tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, or moderate gaming, then the Swift X (2022), despite being more expensive, offers an improved GPU and better performance scores in these areas. Additionally, the Swift X is more portable with its lighter weight and also boasts a longer battery life, which might be more conducive to on-the-go usage. While both models have the same amount of RAM and storage capacity, the Swift X slightly edges out with a higher quality display and overall build, thus enhancing your experience if you're often working with visual content or prefer a more premium feel. The Acer Swift X (2022) and Acer Aspire Vero 15 are both good for general use, though the Acer Swift X (2022) is somewhat better.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 is well-suited for general use due to its powerful CPU, ample RAM, and good battery life, but it's slightly heavier and less portable; it also has a fair screen and heat management quality. On the other hand, the Acer Swift X (2022) not only offers comparable CPU and RAM, but also advantages in screen quality with higher resolution and brightness, better portability due to its lower weight, enhanced battery life, and superior heat management, although it could be louder in operation due to its high-performing graphics unit.

The Acer Swift X (2022) is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire Vero 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15, with an Intel i7 CPU, integrated Iris Xe graphics, and a standard Full HD screen, is adequate for engineering and design, but its lack of a dedicated GPU may limit performance with intensive 3D tasks. In contrast, the Acer Swift X (2022) offers a more powerful i7 CPU, Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, and a higher resolution screen, making it better suited for demanding engineering and design applications, though at the expense of greater weight and potentially louder operating noise.

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the Acer Aspire Vero 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire Vero 15 offers an adequate display that balances resolution and brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks but its limited color range and standard refresh rate diminish its suitability for more color-sensitive engineering/design activities and high-refresh-rate gaming. On the other hand, the Acer Swift X features a more vibrant display with higher brightness and a wider color spectrum, enhancing visual precision for engineering and design work, however, like the Aspire Vero, it also lacks a high-refresh-rate screen which is essential for the best gaming experience with smooth action. Both laptops have good resolution and panel types for general and professional use, but gamers seeking fluid motion will find the screens lacking due to their standard refresh rates.

How the Acer Aspire Vero 15 and the Acer Swift X (2022) compare to other laptops
"The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly Windows 11 laptop. Made with PCR plastic, the Acer Aspire Vero stands out from the midrange laptop pack with a funky, eco-friendly design. Powering Microsoft’s latest operating system is a Core i7 chip from Intel’s latest series, integrated Intel Xe graphics, and an ample 16GB of RAM. The laptop feels snappy, but its battery life disappoints. I also have a few quibbles with the display and keyboard, but they’re relatively minor. With a longer runtime, the Aspire Vero would earn a stronger recommendation for students or anyone looking for an eco-friendly, big-screen laptop."
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
