For everyday tasks like web browsing, email, and streaming, the Acer Aspire Go 15 is a cost-effective choice with decent performance and a good quality screen. It's also lightweight and has a long battery life, making it highly portable for on-the-go use. However, it's not suitable for demanding tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning due to its basic processor and lack of a dedicated GPU. On the other hand, the Dell Alienware X17 R2 is a powerhouse designed for high-end gaming and intensive tasks such as 3D modeling, machine learning, and engineering applications. It boasts a top-tier processor and a high-performance GPU, ensuring superior performance in these areas. The screen has a fast refresh rate and excellent color accuracy, which is great for gaming and professional work. It also offers premium features like a backlit keyboard with a number pad, advanced security options, and multiple high-speed ports. However, it's much pricier, heavier, and has a shorter battery life, which means it's less portable and might not be the best choice if you need a laptop that can last all day without charging. In summary, choose the Acer for its portability and suitability for general use on a budget. Opt for the Dell if you need exceptional performance for gaming or professional work and can compromise on portability and price. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | May 2022
"The Alienware x17 R2 recognizes targets a significantly higher TGP of 175 W for a roughly 30 percent performance boost over laptops running on the ~100 W GeForce RTX 3080 Ti like the Razer Blade 15 or Gigabyte Aero YE5. Similar results can be found through the CPU as well. This single aspect of the Alienware is perhaps the biggest differentiating factor between it and other ultrathin gaming laptops. Of course, the "performance at all cost" approach comes with drawbacks. Power consumption in particular is through the roof and battery life suffers because of it even when on the lowest performance settings."
