The Acer Aspire 5 17, being less expensive, offers a large 17.3" screen but is heavier, making it less portable compared to the Razer Book 13, which has a higher cost. The Razer Book 13, with a smaller 13.4" display, provides higher portability and a longer battery life. Both have the same storage but the Razer has double the RAM, which could improve performance in intensive tasks. Both feature similar integrated graphics, so while neither is optimal for gaming, engineering, or advanced 3D tasks, both can handle general use well. The Razer also has a touchscreen and a higher quality build, but if you need a number pad and a larger display, the Acer is the better choice. The Razer, however, will perform better for business needs with its premium features and more compact form. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Marcus Schwarten | March 2021
"The Acer Aspire 5 17 laptop shows the expected strengths in the test. Besides the usual high build quality, the configuration convinces in most benchmarks and tests. The combination of CPU, GPU, and RAM is absolutely sufficient for the everyday office and browsing tasks of a laptop. It also renders the odd game passably if the requirements aren't too high. We liked the matte display in the test as well as the fairly manageable dimensions despite the screen size. It can also be used outdoors, even if it's certainly not a laptop designed for mobility."

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | December 2020
"The Razer Book is like an XPS 13, but faster. The Book 13 combines the design philosophy and performance of a Blade Stealth with the 16:10 display of a Dell XPS 13 for an impressive piece of hardware. Office users who want something more stylish than the typical Dell, HP or Lenovo will certainly find themselves drawn to this Razer subnotebook. If your priorities are to have the best-looking and fastest 13-inch laptop in the office over auxiliary features, however, then the Book 13 proudly fulfills that niche."
