The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is more budget-friendly with a fanless and silent operation, suitable for basic tasks such as web browsing, document editing, and media consumption, although with modest storage and performance capacity. The Razer Book 13, while more expensive, offers a higher performance suitable for more intensive tasks like engineering software, 3D rendering, and machine learning, with better build quality, more storage, and RAM. It also has a longer battery life and a more vibrant display, making it well-suited for professional use, although it's heavier and thus slightly less portable than the Aspire 3 Spin 14. The Razer Book 13 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14, with its lower-tier CPU, moderate RAM, and fair screen quality offers a silent operation ideal for general tasks, while its portability and battery life are good for mobility. The Razer Book 13 is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The Razer Book 13 is considered good for engineering and design due to its more powerful CPU, double the RAM, and better GPU compared to the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14, which is fair in those respects; additionally, the Razer's higher screen quality with better brightness and color coverage contributes to its suitability for design tasks, despite the Acer's comparable resolution and touchscreen feature. While the Acer is slightly more portable due to its 2-in-1 convertible design, the Razer counters with a superior keyboard, surely appreciated in engineering work, but both have aspects like silent operation and adequate portability which are somewhat important but do not differentiate much in this context.

The Razer Book 13 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 provides a suitable screen for everyday tasks due to its adequate resolution and brightness, but its modest color range limits its effectiveness for engineering and design work where precise color representation is crucial. The Razer Book 13, with its higher-quality display, excels in color accuracy, making it a better fit for professions that demand more color sensitivity, like engineering and graphic design. However, both laptops' screens fall short for gaming and 3D applications because they don't offer the high refresh rates that are essential for smooth motion and fast-paced visuals in those fields.

How the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and the Razer Book 13 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"The Razer Book is like an XPS 13, but faster. The Book 13 combines the design philosophy and performance of a Blade Stealth with the 16:10 display of a Dell XPS 13 for an impressive piece of hardware. Office users who want something more stylish than the typical Dell, HP or Lenovo will certainly find themselves drawn to this Razer subnotebook. If your priorities are to have the best-looking and fastest 13-inch laptop in the office over auxiliary features, however, then the Book 13 proudly fulfills that niche."
