For general use such as browsing and office applications, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 will suffice and is more affordable. It's lighter and has a higher portability score, plus a touchscreen, making it versatile for on-the-go tasks. However, if you need higher performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering work, the Lenovo LOQ 15 stands out with its more powerful AMD processor and RTX graphics card, as well as double the RAM and storage space. It has lower battery life and is heavier, making it less convenient for travel. Consider your priorities between price, performance, and portability when making your decision. Give Feedback

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14, with a less powerful Intel i3 processor, less RAM, and a lower screen brightness, is suited for basic tasks and can double as a tablet, making it fairly versatile for general use. On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 15 boasts a superior AMD Ryzen 7 processor and double the RAM for more demanding work, complemented by a higher screen brightness and more storage, but with a bulkier build and shorter battery life, it leans more towards users in need of higher performance.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The Lenovo LOQ 15 provides a better experience for gaming and 3D due to its Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU and a screen with a higher refresh rate, enhancing smoothness in visuals, compared to the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 which has a less powerful Intel i3-N305 UHD Graphics Xe GPU and a lower refresh rate, making it less suited for demanding graphical tasks.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14's fair screen quality is due to an adequate resolution and brightness but a panel type that doesn’t stand out, while the Lenovo LOQ 15's good screen quality benefits from a superior combination of these features. When considering engineering and design, both laptops provide decent resolution and panel types, but the Acer's colors may not be as vibrant or accurate due to limited color gamut coverage compared to the Lenovo. For 3D and gaming, despite their adequate resolution, neither laptop excels due to lower refresh rates, but the Lenovo LOQ 15 edges ahead with a marginally better panel type that could enhance visuals despite the refresh rate constraints.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
