The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is a budget-friendly option with decent portability due to its lightweight design and long battery life. Its performance is suitable for general use such as web browsing, office tasks, and media consumption. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 5 is a premium laptop with significantly more power, making it better for gaming, 3D rendering, and intensive engineering applications. It has a high refresh rate display for smooth visuals and a larger storage capacity, but it's heavier and has shorter battery life, making it less portable than the Acer. Choose the Acer for cost-effective, everyday use and the Gigabyte for high-performance tasks and gaming. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 5 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is deemed fair for general use due to its lower-tier CPU and RAM, which may limit performance for demanding tasks, a smaller storage capacity, and a smaller but higher resolution screen with touch functionality, which alongside good portability and longer battery life, makes it suitable for light tasks and mobility.

The Gigabyte Aorus 5 is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is poor.
The Gigabyte Aorus 5 outshines the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for engineering and design use primarily because it boasts a much more powerful CPU and GPU, essential for demanding tasks, and it comes with twice the RAM for multitasking, alongside a higher capacity SSD for storage, making it significantly better at handling complex software used in these fields. However, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 offers the benefits of a 2-in-1 convertible form, potentially higher screen brightness, and silent operation due to a fanless design, which could be more appealing for on-the-go use and in environments where noise is a concern.

The Gigabyte Aorus 5 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 provides adequate resolution and brightness for comfortable viewing, but it doesn't stand out in terms of panel technology. The Gigabyte Aorus 5 offers a higher-quality display with better resolution and brightness, making it well-suited for engineering and design, where color reproduction is critical. How the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 and the Gigabyte Aorus 5 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."
