If you prioritize long battery life, a higher quality display, and better build quality, the Apple MacBook Air is a superior option even though it's more expensive and offers less storage capacity. It's lighter and thinner, making it more portable, whereas the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is heavier and thicker but more budget-friendly. The Acer includes a touchscreen which the MacBook Air lacks, and while its performance suits general use, the MacBook outperforms it, especially in tasks that demand more graphic processing power, like 3D rendering or engineering applications. The Aspire may be more attractive for price-sensitive customers who need a device for everyday tasks. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 for general use, AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
If you prioritize a vivid display and accurate colors for tasks like photo editing or graphic design, the MacBook Air excels with its high resolution and wide color gamut. However, if you're into gaming or 3D applications, neither the Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 nor the MacBook Air is ideal due to their standard refresh rates, which can't deliver the smooth visuals desired for fast-paced action. For everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming, both offer sufficient quality, but the MacBook provides superior brightness and clarity which enhances the viewing experience.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | November 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The battery lasts around seven hours of light use, so you only have to plug it in for a short time to get through a typical school day. The overall user experience is so-so; the display looks sharp but dim, and the touchpad is fairly responsive, albeit small."
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
